About this property

A very well appointed flint faced cottage set in the heart of the charming village of Ringstead, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. 4 Langford Cottages is a mature and well maintained hideaway with a fully enclosed garden to the rear and lovely open rural views from the upstairs rooms.

Inside the cottage is clearly stylish and well looked after, being well equipped and practical, with no fuss. The beds are comfortable, the wood burning stove is a welcome sight on cooler evenings, and the garden is secure and fully enclosed - ideal for children and dogs too. With the benefit of a locking garage for bikes, car, buggy, small kayak or other storage, 4 Langford Cottages ticks so many boxes for outdoor types who love to explore. Here you are spoilt for choice with miles and miles of walks or rides straight from your door - Ringstead Downs Nature Reserve, Peddars Way path, organic Courtyard farm walks, to the coast - or maybe just to the very popular Gin Trap Inn down the road! Opposite the cottage the village shop is so much more than just a convenience store, offering everything from newspapers to memorabilia, gifts and hardware. Next to the church a children's play park and field are a welcome addition for children.

A very short drive and you can be at Hunstanton, Thornham or Holme beaches, Titchwell or Snettisham rspb reserves and loads of other attractions and facilities. Ringstead really is a great base, just inland from the bustling coast but a world away.

We had a lovely few days in Norfolk. Really enjoyed the house – recommend the bakery across the road. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Fantastic week of amazing sunshine in your fabulous cottage. Everything we could have hoped for was provided and unlike last time (lockdown mid-week!) we were able to use your wonderful general store – almond croissants and strawberries were delicious. Sunday at hope church – very welcoming. Two trips to The Gin Trap, expensive but well worth it. Long walks on the beach Old Hunstanton to Hunstanton, but do not try the one around the golf course, the way back along the river was overgrown and midge infested. Best one was at Burnham Overy Staithe out to Gun Hill and keep going over the dunes to the unspoilt part of Holkham beach then returned for lovely lunch at the Hero pub – pre book at this time of the year. Great trip to shop at Burnham Market and massages with Karen at The Hoste Arms – was very relaxing!! Thank you soooo much!! Loved the handmade jam too.

Langford Cottage has provided an excellent base for us to explore North Norfolk. The cottage had all things needed for our stay, and supplemented by the superb general store - very friendly people! We have been fortunate with the feather and enjoyed breakfast on the patio most days. The garden was an added bonus for our elderly dog and nice short walks around the village. Our favourite meal was the White Horse - Holme-next-to-sea, very good value, and tasty meals. The complimentary welcome gift was also appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay.
