The Dutch House in Snettisham is a well-regarded period cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and prime location with easy access to local amenities. Guests appreciate the quality of the kitchen equipment, bedding, and towels, as well as the property's charming character. While some guests mention minor issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with one even highlighting the absence of dust, a detail appreciated by frequent travellers. Only one review mentioned the need to wash cutlery and crockery before use, which seems to be an isolated incident.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to local pubs, restaurants, and shops. The convenience of nearby amenities and the ease of exploring Norfolk's attractions contribute to the high score. Traffic noise and light disturbance are noted by a few, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
The comfort of the beds and the overall welcoming feel of the property are frequently mentioned. Some concerns are raised about the low shower head and steep staircase, but these do not seem to detract from the overall comfort experienced by guests.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, there are comments about the lack of green spaces for dog walking directly from the property, the need for an eye mask due to light curtains, and a mention of a courtyard needing weeding, suggesting room for improvement.
While some guests mention a welcome gift of local produce, others do not, and one specifically notes the absence of a welcome basket. As such, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts are provided consistently, and therefore, a score cannot be accurately assigned.

Lovely period property in the centre of Snettisham. Lots of walks from the door and perfectly placed for access to the beach, nature reserves, Sandringham and Hunstanton, either by car or bus. Whilst the parking was on-street, we did not have any problems during our stay. Well equipped and comfortable.

Fantastic property in a beautiful location.

We had a lovely stay at Dutch house with our 3 month old and 3 dogs. I had seen a review suggesting may not be good for dogs or babies due to noise from the restaurant next door. We slept with the windows open and didn’t have any issues with noise. We stayed Monday - Friday so perhaps it is noisier over the weekend but for us was fine. The courtyard garden was ideal for our three dogs. The walls and gate are a good 6ft high. There is a small gap under the gate, but we just moved the bins infront of this so our escape artists couldn’t succeed! The cottage was well equipped and is in a great location being just minutes walk away from the shop and pubs. Parking was ideal being right infront of the door. We did have an issue with an alarm going off, but the owner came straight out to resolve this nice and quickly.
