About this property

This traditional cottage enjoys a quiet location in the beautiful coastal village of Blakeney, just 500 metres from the picturesque quay. Sleeping six guests, the property makes a great coastal bolthole for large families and groups of friends. The area is a paradise for walkers, with nearby routes taking you across the saltmarshes or along the coast path to Cley-next-the-Sea (1.5 miles) or Sheringham (9 miles).

The brick and flint cottage is nestled down a quiet lane in the heart of the village. The property has bags of character, with original features sitting alongside traditional furniture and pretty soft furnishings. A light and bright lounge/diner offers a comfortable place to unwind after a day of exploring, with sofas and armchairs set around a Smart TV and a dining table for sharing mealtimes as a group. You’ll also find a breakfast table in the kitchen, as well as a handy pantry and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. A charming double bedroom with an en-suite shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll discover two additional bedrooms – one of which is a bunk bedroom – and a stylish family shower room. Outside, an oasis of calm awaits in the courtyard. There’s bench-style seating for al fresco dining, and the area is fully enclosed for four-legged guests.

A walk around Blakeney is like stepping back in time. Admire the traditional cottages and historic buildings, many of which now house cute cafes, galleries, and gift shops. Afterwards, head down to the quay where boat trips depart to Blakeney Point – home to England’s largest seal colony. Further afield, spend the day at the beach at one of the many resorts along the north coast, including Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster, and Cromer. For shopping and eating out, head to the market town of Holt (5.5 miles).

This cottage is well kept, clean and has everything you need. Its garden was secure for our dogs. It’s very well placed for walking the coastal path and to get to some other places. Beds were ok but we didn’t rave about them.
