Guests say

Owl Cottage in Walsingham is highly praised for its comfort, ideal location, and well-equipped facilities, particularly for families. Guests appreciate the property's character, spacious garden, and proximity to beaches and local attractions. The village's tranquility and the cottage's thoughtful touches, such as a welcome package, contribute to a delightful stay, although minor maintenance issues are noted.

The property is generally well-regarded for cleanliness, with guests finding it to be tidy upon arrival. However, one mention of a dirty cloth after wiping table tops suggests room for improvement, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The location is consistently lauded for its convenience to beaches, local shops, and attractions, with the village's peacefulness being a highlight. The proximity to the coast and National Trust properties, as well as the availability of a nearby train to Wells, are particularly appreciated.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable and cosy, with a well-maintained garden and a homely atmosphere. The property is described as ideal for families, with ample space and a comfortable dining area, contributing to a relaxing stay.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, especially for children, with the inclusion of a travel cot, high chair, and toys. Wi-Fi is a noted plus. However, a mention of a malfunctioning hoover indicates some attention to maintenance is required.

The thoughtful touches, such as a welcome package with coffee, apple juice, and cookies, are well-received by guests, adding to the charm of the cottage. While these gifts are mentioned positively, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Overall a great stay. Location was amazing and the place was great value for money. The property could use a bit of TLC and we expected a few more things to be at the house (such as oil and seasonings, as we did mostly our own cooking) - but a great base to stay in a beautiful part of the country.

Lovely little place in a quiet village, central to all North Norfolk has to offer. The village train goes straight to Wells if you fancy a lazy start to your beach day but everywhere we wanted to visit was within 20 mins drive; perfect! Parking down the road wasn’t ideal but it’s quiet enough to pull up outside the front door for unloading/packing up again.

The living room could use some redecoration and newer furniture as it is a bit tired and worn looking. The bedrooms and bathroom have been updated and the garden is a good sixe for families. We found the central location of the cottage to be perfect however for the two lovely tea shops and farm shop in the village, and only a short drive to the beach.
