About this property

In an excellent spot on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, this roomy, two-bedroom bungalow creates a wonderful base for small families and couples with a dog in tow keen to explore the surrounding countryside. It''s in Reedham, a picturesque village perched on the edge of the River Yare. You''ll have immediate access to wonderful walking and cycling paths, birdwatching opportunities and two cosy local pubs within 0.5 miles.

Inside this attractive brick building, you''ll have a welcoming living area featuring large windows that flood the room with natural light. Light grey walls throughout are enhanced by splashes of mood-lifting colour. There''s a Smart TV for entertainment, or perhaps you''ll select a book from the shelf for reading quietly in your room. The contemporary kitchen is wonderful for cooking up holiday feasts, perhaps using produce from the local market. At the end of each day away, choose from a welcoming king-size bedroom and a cosy twin, served by a well-appointed family shower room. Good weather? Relax with fellow guests in the large, secure garden where children and your dog can roam safely, while garden furniture and a BBQ set you up for al fresco dining. Private parking for two cars is also available.

For a satisfying day out, head to the local train station (300 metres) and board a train to Berney Arms, then enjoy a scenic 5-mile walk back along the Wherryman''s Way. A picnic in your rucksack will improve things further! The Reedham Vehicular Ferry (1 mile) gives you convenient access to Beccles and Bungay (9.5 miles and 11.5 miles), both lovely market towns where you can absorb local history before enjoying a meal in one of many eateries. Wroxham (14 miles) offers cafes, a supermarket and boat and bike rentals, or you can plan an urban day out in Norwich (17.5 miles)

What an outstanding holiday home. We’ve never stayed anywhere so well thought out. Everything you can think of was provided and we had an amazing time as a family. Local pubs and attractions are great-highly recommended, we will be back. What a find!

My mum and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage - it was a last minute booking and, to be honest, the bungalow does not have a lot of “kerb appeal” on the website. However, in the flesh it was much better with gorgeous views over farmland (no smells) to the front and the interior was well equipped with some good quality beds and furnishings. The welcome pack included wine, beer and a lovely cake. Reedham is a nice village with a couple of unusual bridges and a nice pub, the Ship, serving tasty food. We found we could get to where we wanted to go; be aware it takes about 10-12 minutes to get to/from the A 47. The area is handy for the Broads and Norwich. The train station is a short distance down the road (no noise) so you could have a car free trip if you are able to walk a bit.
