For easily accessible day trips there is the scenic Suffolk heritage coastline with charming seaside towns, the Broads with miles of magical waterways to explore, historic towns such as Bury St Edmunds with impressive abbey and gardens and intricate cobbled streets full of interesting shops and boutiques. For those looking for more active pursuits, Thetford Forest has excellent cycling and walking routes and for sports enthusiasts, racing at Snetterton circuit or fishing at Hinderclay Lakes will appeal.
