Riverside Cottage is an end terrace of a converted watermill on the banks of the River Waveney on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. It is set in a conservation area with river frontage and fishing rights. Comes with it's own private jetty and rowing boat; perfect for a secluded romantic retreat.
It also makes an ideal cycling base, situated on National Cycle Network route 30.
It has a private jetty and a small, private island accessed via the car park. Visitors to the garden include swans, deer, kingfishers, ducks and numerous other bird species. Fish include chubb, pike and perch. The river runs the full length of the garden and along the bank are bulrushes, water iris, lilies and reeds. There is a public house within walking distance, The Old Kings Head with origins dating back to the 14th century and has a bar and restaurant.

A very nice stay. A charming well appointed cottage in a very attractive location. Very nice welcome pack. Received two phone calls from agents to check every thing ok. Couldn't make the CD player work otherwise everything fine. Nb you are overlooked when the neighbours are on their bridge or the island opposite but we didn't find this a problem. Worth noting the cottage has its own adjacent car park so no need to use the residents' car park over the bridge.

A beautiful property with constantly changing views down the River Waveney. It was incredibly warm and cosy (Despite there being a major February storm outside) - well equipped and comfortable and lots to do and see in the surrounding area (especially enjoyed our trips out to Orford, Bury and Banham Zoo. Our party, aged 18-85, couldn't really fault it.

A truly peaceful place to stay. The welcome hamper was just delightful and full to the brim with local produce. The phone call from the housekeeper to check all was ok was much appreciated.
