Venturing further afield, just a few miles away there are castles and historic homes to explore such as Crook Hall and Gardens with its medieval hall, Jacobean drawing room, two walled gardens and a maze to lose yourself in, Barnard Castle with its spectacular fortress to conquer and Raby Castle with a 200 acre deer park, perfect for a family picnic. With so much to see and do you will want to come back time and time again. A warm welcome awaits as you enter the property through the double doors into the dining room, a large dining table provides the perfect place to enjoy a family meal together, from here a door leads into the snug with Smart TV, PlayStation and plenty of board games to challenge family and friends, or you can simply relax on the sofas and enjoy a good book. Off to the left a doorway takes you into the fabulous large kitchen/diner with range electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and table and chairs for breakfast and a staircase leads to the first floor. Off the kitchen/diner is a large double bedroom with en suite shower and WC. Also off the kitchen/diner is an inner hallway, with a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A further lounge can be found leading off the games room with large comfy sofa, chairs and a wood burner to cosy up in front of and enjoy a good film on the TV. The staircase leads to a hallway with three lovely bedrooms, the first is a double which has a wonderful covered veranda to enjoy an evening glass of wine or a morning cup of coffee, a fine way to start or end the day. A further stylish double bedroom with en suite shower and WC and the twin bedroom has two additional single pull out beds to accommodate further children or family, this bedroom also has an en suite shower and WC.
