A five-minute drive will take you to the village of Lanchester, which boasts a marvellous selection of restaurants, takeaways and bistro pubs. The city of Durham is only a short journey away, with its wonderful cathedral, cobbled streets, river walk and an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Also close by is the Roman town of Chester-le-Street, Beamish Museum and the Durham Dales. A little further afield are Newcastle upon Tyne, Hadrian's Wall, the Heritage Coast, Cragside at Rothbury and the North Yorkshire Moors, all worth a visit and offering plenty of activities for everyone. Centrally located, this cottage is the perfect place for that long-awaited holiday break.
Set in the beautiful countryside of County Durham, approximately ten miles to the west of the historic City of Durham, is the village of Iveston. The village took its name from Ives Stone- the stone on which St Ivo is said to have preached to Roman soldiers. Today, the Roman connection is reflected in the many Northumbrian tourist attractions along Hadrians Wall.

Front door and main bedroom door do not close properly and beef looking at. Has all the amenities you could want and very comfortable property.

Perfect in every way. We had two very minor issues that were solved without delay and in a friendly manner. We hope to return.

The outside space didnât match the photos, the large green space is privately owned. All day and night the sound of the baskavilles penetrated the house, so much so our dog did not settle. We left early after our dog was attacked by the dog belonging to the owner of the hounds,. My dog is an assistant dog and she got nasty bite wounds. Why was the dogs not mentioned in the description
