In the mouth of the River Coquet, Amble is a great starting point for a tour of Northumberland. In addition to its marina, harbour and sandy beaches, Amble is known for its coastal hikes to Hauxley Bird Sanctuary and Druridge Bay Country Park. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are caught by large fishing boats that moor along the harbour wall. An old fish hatchery on the side of the harbour is now a shellfish hatchery in order to replenish the supply of lobster and other shellfish in the area. There is an rspb reserve on Coquet Island, just a mile south of Amble, which is home to a huge population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks.

Appreciated that we weren’t over burdened with lots of unnecessary house rules . The welcome pack of wine , biscuits and crisps was a nice touch . Would have no hesitation in recommending this property for a lovely family holiday .

Close to all local amenities with the high street virtually round the corner. Property had everything that we needed for our stay. Nice enclosed seating area to rear of property which was well used due to the lovely weather we had. Parking not directly outside although you can pull up to unload. Didn’t have any issues finding a parking spot near by.
