We would definitely stay at the property again and recommend the cottage to other people. Although the welcome pack is not expected it is recommended that use by dates are checked for the items left. This however did not have any effect on our stay.

On entering the house there was a distinct smell of dog, which was most unwelcoming. The rug in the lounge looked really dirty and suggested it was coming from there. It was there throughout the stay and not being a dog owner I found off-putting and made my decision I would not stay here again. A previous review mentioned dog hairs and we experienced the same on the first day stuck to our socks. The seal around the bath was very black too. Otherwise the house was okay, but not at a level of cleanliness I would expect. Several spot lights were out in the lounge and dining area. The house is well located for the town and harbour areas and we didn't find the school close by any problem or parking at any time .

Another thing that we felt should be in the listing is the house is in the middle of an estate with a school at the end of the road. It was very noisy in the morning, when we had gone away to get away from the hustle and bustle. If you go out in the car midweek donât get back before 4pm as cars are parked all over as kids are picked up from school. I donât like giving negative feedback but feel that future guests should be made aware. The house is very near to the lovely harbour area & beautiful beaches beyond. Warkworth is well worth a visit also.
