Rothbury is the capital of Coquetdale and is dominated by the heather-clad Simonside Hills. It is located on the north bank of the famous salmon and trout river, the Coquet. It's a charming tiny market town with good local walking because to its proximity to Northumberland's National Park. The town's steep main streets are lined with stone homes typical of the region, and there is a good selection of stores.

Bathroom and beds really good. Easy parking outside of the house. Rothbury centre a short walk downhill. Added attraction in the cosy conservatory.

  • Mary

Clean and comfortable all to a high standard. Parking outside the property was good.

The blinds were a bit of a problem , A pair of scissors in the kitchen draw would be useful and a fish slice A couple of throws in the conservatory would be nice as there was no heating and evenings can be chilly . This was the most comfortable room to sit in . Facilities for recycling weren’t clear . Separate bins for paper, plastic and cans etc would be helpful. Thank you
