Close to dual carriage way so easy to locate and get out to visit surrounding area. Poor communication for access to property - had to contact Sykes before key code sent. Hot water tap to bath does not work so shower facility only (which is poor). I think this is new to letting as a holiday home. New carpets throughout but vacuum cleaner inadequate as lots of dog hairs still in carpet when we arrived. Couches uncomfortable for an evening watching TV and the seams were full of crumbs. Bedding was clean and looks like new pillows - but no protectors. General bin outside full and previous occupants has left black bag and cardboard all over the floor. No 'House Information book - house was freezing when we finally got in 13 degrees - managed to get heating on but temperature only up to 18 after 24 hours, once warm managed to maintain a comfortable temperature. Pots and Pans all new, no iron or ironing board. Left 1 tea towel as there was only 2 of us that was OK but a family would struggle. The reason I've pointed out all these issues is because I left a note for the owners who did not respond I was hoping they would take the above on board so others have a better experience. No welcome pack. One more thing which is out of their control - pick pockets operate in town which we found out to our detriment.
