This is a fantastic area for keen walkers, climbers, cyclists and nature lovers. The nearby village of Little Salkeld (8.5 miles) is home to a working watermill, Lacy s Caves and Long Meg and Her Daughters. The flourishing market town of Penrith (9 miles) has a wide variety of friendly restaurants, welcoming pubs and independent shops. Heading into the Lake District, the nearest lake is Ullswater (15 miles) which makes a wonderful spot for a lakeside picnic, hiring a boat or hopping aboard a steamer. The property occupies parts of the first and second floor of the barn conversion and is accessed via eight external steps, which lead into the charming conservatory style entrance porch.
