The historic market town of Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber) is located in both the beautiful western dales of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the nearby rugged eastern fells of the Lake District. The town's market dates back to the 13th century, and it has been a thriving community for hundreds of years thanks to its narrow streets, little shops, traditional pubs, famous school from 1525, and church from the 12th century. Dentdale, accessible from Sedbergh, is the crown jewel of the Yorkshire Dales, with its gentle hills and dry-stone walls, spanning 14 miles from the bleak moors below Whernside to the meeting of the Rivers Dee and Rawthey. Dent, a town with Norman roots and cobblestone streets, sits at the heart of the dale, and its train station is conveniently located on the famous Settle-Carlisle line. The area is ideal for walkers, ramblers, runners, and cyclists, and it is conveniently located near three golf courses, as well as tennis courts, horses, and fishing. This, along with the peace and quiet of the surrounding valleys, the two National Parks, and the fact that it is England's book town, make it a fantastic holiday spot whenever of the year you choose to visit.

Christmas decorations made it extra special for us. The place was very comfortable and clean. First day was cold in the living room we went through alot of logs but the place soon warmed up after this. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!
