Within easy reach of the northern stretches of the Lake District, this fantastic retreat offers tranquil accommodation for larger families and groups of friends experiencing the area’s unforgettable scenery. Close to a popular fishing lake, and just a few miles from Penrith, this lovely hideaway is perfectly placed for eager walkers, anglers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering the breathtaking vistas of the Eden Valley.
Entering this delightful cottage, the back hallway is a great space for leaving coats and boots, and provides a delightful space for your four-legged friend. The spacious lounge features plenty of seating, a Smart TV and a welcoming wood burner, and is ideal for sitting back and unwinding in at the end of a memorable day. Exploring further, the sociable open-plan kitchen/diner is perfect for getting together to cook and share all your favourite dishes. Going upstairs, there’s a stylish family bathroom, plus a handy additional shower room, and a choice of four cosy, fresh and relaxing bedrooms: a twin, one super-king-size room and two king-size rooms. Stepping outside, the private courtyard at the back of the property features a BBQ and a seating area, providing a lovely space to sit back and dine alfresco. The front terrace overlooks the pretty village green.
Set in the picturesque village of Blencarn, the cottage is just half a mile from a fly-fishing lake. Keen walkers can head into the Pennines, with Cross Fell nearby (5 miles). The historic market town of Penrith (10 miles) is home to the Rheged centre and the remains of Penrith Castle, or you can head into the Lake District, the nearest lake being Ullswater (15 miles).
