It was a great location, and the property was clean, comfortable and very homely. We had an initial glitch with the heating but the contact (Elizabeth) sorted it out immediately. Once we had got the heating on, the house was cosy and warm within a few minutes and remained so despite the cold weather. One friend has limited mobility and raved about the shower in the bathroom. We also liked the fact we could take 2 dogs, and that there were cleaning facilities (dustpan and crush, hoover, mop etc). The snug area of the main room was fab -the sofas are super comfy, the telly is a good size, and the layout of the room overall was just great for sitting and catching up. The two observations we all made were: 1 The lack of any curtains downstairs in the main kitchen/diner/snug. Given how expensive energy is, it seems a missed opportunity not to help maintain the heat within the property. Also as a group of 4 women, we all commented that we would have felt more comfortable if we had curtains to close. Similarly, thicker curtains throughout the house would have helped maintain the heat in all the rooms. 2 A woodburner in the main room would have made it just perfect. :) Overall a fab property, great location and we will very likely rebook for next year.
