A superb cottage hidden away in a secret little valley yet within a few minutes drive of Matlock, Bakewell and all Derbyshire's attractions.
A gorgeous converted chapel, set in the peaceful hamlet of Oker, tucked away in the secret valley of Wensley Dale. This wonderful holiday accommodation is perfect for family or friends to spend quality time together. Feel warm and cosy relaxing with loved ones in the spacious lounge accompanied with a glowing wood burning stove. The bedrooms are light and airy, yet snug and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped and is tastefully decorated, much like the rest of the property.
A network of footpaths leads you on numerous walks surround Oker - your only issue will be deciding which one first. Wander beside the river to Matlock and up to Stanton Moor to see the Nine Ladies Needles. Maybe you’ll end up in the dales, or out on the hills on the Limestone Way. Hall Leys Park and the River Derwent are both brilliant walks, then ascend to Pic Tor and Matlock Bank to take in the amazing panoramic views in front of you.
Should your legs get tired, jump in the car and explore Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath’s cable cars or Crich’s delightful tramway. Why not catch a ride on the heritage Peak Rail in Matlock and travel to Rowsley or Darley Dale.

A lovely cottage - very warm and comfortable with a great cooker and log stove. We'd definitely stay again!

We all loved staying in the Chapel Oker, The location was perfect, a short walk into Darley or a short drive into Mattlock Bath. other attractions, Bakewell, Chatsworth etc. Sally had left us a lovely welcome hamper and were always on hand if needed. Perfect hosts, with a lovely converted Chapel with plenty of space for the family to relax.

This was a super cottage. It was very clean and the owners had thought about everything. They left a super hamper which was much appreciated. The beds were very comfy. There was everything you needed. We were able to sit out in the front in a sunny corner using garden furniture that was in the cottage. We visited Matlock bath, Bakewell , Chatsworth and Cromford. Would come again to a lovely region.
