Shoreside Cottage in Camber is praised for its great location, pleasant interior, and proximity to the beach. Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen, quality bedding, and the welcome package. The property is clean, bright, and stylish, with a newly refurbished garden that adds to the comfort. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, making it a recommended stay for families and pet owners.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean and well-maintained, with one review highlighting thorough cleaning and another praising the property's tidiness upon arrival.
The location is frequently commended for its convenience to the beach and local amenities. The proximity to Camber Sands and ease of access without a car are particularly appreciated.
The property is described as cosy, with quality bedding and a spacious master bedroom. However, one guest was disappointed with the lack of a grassy garden for their dog, which slightly impacts the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and powerful shower. However, points are deducted for the non-working washing machine and the impractical 'sun room'.
The welcome package with bread, milk, and eggs is mentioned positively, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, guests should not expect them as a certainty.
This beautifully styled single storey property offers the perfect seaside get-away for families and friends. It is located just 0.2 miles away from the unspoilt views of Cambers soft golden sand and sea, which stretches for miles. The beach is famous for the long ridges of sand dunes, and it is a great location for walkers, nature lovers, golfers, and sandcastle builders. Try the 9.7km trail from Camber Sands to Rye Harbour, stopping off at the Discovery Centre, and don’t forget your binoculars to spot the birds that nest here. Medieval Rye is 4 miles away, rich in history and antique shops, as well as great restaurants and cafés. Dungeness boasts one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world and is popular with photographers and artists. There are golf courses at Lydd (7 miles) and Littlestone (10.5 miles) and Camber has its own castle, with other castles within a few minuets such as Bodiam (16 miles) and Sissinghurst (21 miles).
Enter the property through the porch with a handy area for hanging coats and kicking off shoes then through into the kitchen, which is well-equipped with everything you need to whip up a meal. The kitchen and dining area make a lovely sociable space with a large central table with two chairs and two benches. This is a great spot for prepping food and catching up with your favourite tipple. The lounge offers two large sofas and a footstool, arranged around a wood burner and Smart TV, a lovely area for relaxing after a long day out. There are three bedrooms, two with king-size beds and the third has a twin 2’6 zip-and-links beds, which can be pushed together to make another king-size. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over and a WC. There is also a useful desk and chair. All bedrooms have a chest of drawers with hanging rails in two rooms and a shaker peg with hangers in the third. There is a separate shower room with a rainfall head and WC.
Outside there is an enclosed paved garden with raised flower beds, two separate seating areas, a Cantilever Parasol and two sunbeds

Great house in a fantastic location, very close to the beach. We had a dog with us so we were not allowed in the section of beach opposite the property but a short walk in either direction gets you to dog friendly beach. The house is lovely and private with a sunken patio with is a real suntrap. We enjoyed having breakfast outside and also used the barbecue in the evening. The house was lovely and clean and well equipped. If the owners were to upgrade the beds, it would be perfection.

Lovely bungalow and location fantastic - 100 yards to the beach - everything you'd need, and was well equipped. There were a couple of small points which have been pointed out to the owners. Take a few of your own clothes hangers.

The property was beautiful and very clean. It had everything you need, we ate in most nights and found the kitchen well prepared with pots/pans etc. the bathrooms looked like new and the main shower was very powerful. The location was ideal and everything you could need is on your doorstep. The garden/patio area was large enough for the kids to run about on the days too windy for the beach. We will most definitely be booking again for next year. Can’t wait!!
