About this property

Situated in the heart of historic Robertsbridge village surrounded by 1066 countryside, this property is just a stroll away from the village cricket ground, the perfect way to while away a Saturday afternoon during the summer. Robertsbridge also boasts many timber framed houses, the ruins of a former Cistercian abbey and a church mentioned in the Domesday Book. The historic town of Battle and its extensive selection of independent cafes, shops and restaurants is just five miles away. A garden path brings you to the front door of the property, which opens into a welcoming entrance hall. To the right is the lounge, which features wooden floors, cosy rugs, comfortable sofas, a large coffee table, exposed beams and a striking inglenook fireplace with open fire. There is also a useful snug with a TV and DVD player, offering an alternative space in which to relax. Step through to the dining room, which has French windows that open out to the garden and has been decorated in a contemporary style with wooden flooring, and a chandelier. The kitchen has been tastefully designed to suit any cook, with its spacious units, timber worktops, butler s sink, and a large range style oven and hob. With underfloor heating it is a very pleasant space to prepare meals and has been fitted with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine and breakfast bar. From the kitchen, guests can take their morning coffee out to the paved area where there is a table and chairs. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with double beds, each decorated in neutral tones to create a feeling of relaxation. The bunk bedroom is ideal for children, with bunk beds and an additional single bed. All the bedrooms share the bathroom which has separate shower cubicle with power shower, bath, basin and WC. Outside there is a patio area with table, chairs and a BBQ for summer evenings, while at the bottom of the lawn, there is a wooden summer house which makes a relaxing spot for a morning cup of coffee whilst enjoying the beautifully planted cottage garden.
