New Forest ponies, donkeys and cows are a familiar site in the centre of the village and surround. With spectacular walks and cycle rides across open heathland and forest tracks this is the ideal location for an active or relaxing holiday in the heart of the New Forest. Ford Farm Riding stables are close by.
For those wanting to travel by train the mainline station has trains to Bournemouth, Weymouth, Southampton and London, with a local branch line to the popular coastal market town of Lymington. It is possible to hire bikes from Cycle Experience based next to the station in the village.
