A very romantic house with a wonderful garden in a cute Little village. We felt like Jane Austen. All Equipment in very good condition. Comfortable beds. Stairs to the attic are very narrow and you should Not be too tall. The House is very old and accordingly, floors are uneven. But this ist part of the charm. We would go there again any time!

Mrs Platts
We had a wonderful Easter break at this cottage. We were two couples and three children (6, 7 and 10) and it was ideal. We were very disappointed initially to find there was no log burner or fire at the house. The description mentioned two original fireplaces which we assumed meant there was a fire but this is not the case. I’d suggest they make this clear to guest by adding ‘ornamental’ to the listing to avoid disappointing those looking to huddle round the fire when it’s chilly. Aside from this the house was ideal. Full of character, cosy, clean and well equipped. Sometimes holiday cottages can lack soul and warmth but this house has that in abundance. The kids absolutely loved it and spent most of the time up the tree in the garden and building dens, and when inside, hide and seek. Great location too. Though if you plan to Whitstable for a meal I’d suggest booking ahead and leave plenty of time to find parking. Leeds castle in Maidstone was a fantastic day out, although there is plenty to do on the doorstep too.
