About this property

The Old Fire Station is a unique, detached, single-storey holiday home nestled near to the beach in St Margaret's At Cliffe. With easy access to the spectacular, white cliff coast, local amenities and attractions, this pet-friendly accommodation in Kent is ideal for couples, friends and families alike. Be welcomed by three off-road parking spaces to start your holiday with ease, whilst inside the property, a contemporary and stylish setting awaits. The open-plan living space is bright and airy for socialising with your loved ones; settle into the corner sofas in the sitting area, which once hosted fire engines, to watch the TV, play music on the stereo or relax with a hot beverage. A contemporary kitchen area has everything you need for a self-catering stay, including an electric double oven, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher! Keep the chef company at the breakfast bar before setting the dining table for eight and tucking into a tasty meal. Make yourself at home in one of four thoughtfully furnished bedrooms; there's a master double with en-suite shower room, a double with TV, another double, and a single with a day bed. In the morning, freshen up in the sleek family bathroom with a double walk-in shower, then while away the evening with a relaxing soak in the freestanding bath. If you're bringing your furry friend along for the adventure, savour a hot cup of coffee on the picnic bench in the enclosed garden, whilst your dog plays on the lawn area. Start your holiday exploring St Margaret's at Cliffe, whether that's taking a break from the kitchen at The Smugglers or The Coastguard Pub or basking in the sun at St Margaret's Beach. Pack a picnic for a spectacular coastal walk where you'll discover the National Trust's 19th-century South Foreland Lighthouse, Fan Bay Deep Shelter to tour WWII underground passages, and, of course, the fabulous White Cliffs of Dover. With the coast and Kent Downs AONB within reach, the location is a walker's paradise for hiking, cycling and birdwatching amid rolling hills and lush valleys. Stop off in Dover to visit the medieval castle, the Western Heights Of Dover with views of France on clear days, or why not embark on a day trip from Dover Pier? The picturesque town of Deal is also nearby for a sea view dinner on the pier, marvel at the 16th-century castle, or visit the Kent Museum of the Moving Image to explore cinema's fascinating history. For more historic sights, Folkestone and Canterbury are sure to please the whole family. With so much to see and do, you'll love returning to The Old Fire Station as you explore the delights of Kent.

This charming village is located on the South Foreland Heritage Coast of Kent, near the famed and picturesque White Cliffs of Dover. The Dover Patrol Memorial, the Pines Garden Tea Room and Museum, and the spectacular Foreland Lighthouse are all worth a look around. St Margaret's at Cliffe also incorporates the nearby community of St Margaret's Bay, both of which provide a range of beautiful local amenities. A breach in the cliffs exposes a magnificent shingle beach with rock-pooling chances and a pub selling meals that overlooks it.

Close to amenities, but didnt feel like it when in the house. Exactly what we needed.

It has been sympathetically renovated, keeping many of the original features. Kitchen fully equipped. Lovely bath. Had a problem with lightswitch, contacted Mark & it was replaced within a few hours. The only reason didn't get full marks was due to stains on one of the settees. As there were only 2 if us wasn't such a problem as we used the other one. (Couldn't find the fault logbook to comment) Lovely area, friendly locals & welcoming pubs. Lots of lovely local walks. .

Well equipped. Spacious rooms. We liked it being all on one level. The garden was very secure for the dog. Bath was delightful. Good location for exploring surrounding seaside resorts.
