Sissinghurst Castle and gardens are on your doorstep, and it is only a short drive to the lovely old towns of Cranbrook and Tenterden. Both towns have a fine selection of independent shops, restaurants, and pubs. Tenterden is known locally as "The Jewel in the Weald" and is the starting point for the Kent & East Sussex Railway.
