The location is highly praised for its beautiful sea views and proximity to the seafront and local amenities. However, a few guests mentioned the steep access road, which may be challenging for some.

Enter this large property via its side door into a useful coat and boot storage area. The ground floor flows from the well-equipped kitchen into a morning room with two armchairs with sea views. French doors lead from the dining room onto the terrace, which has the most spectacular panoramic views. The dining room seats up to ten (eight chairs and a bench, there is also a highchair) and the lounge has comfortable seating for all the family. There is a large coffee table for games and a Smart TV. On the ground floor, you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and access to the terrace via French doors. There is a cloakroom off the spacious hallway. Upstairs, there are two super-king size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom all with sea views. The bedrooms all have built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers and full-length mirrors. There is also a cosy nautical-themed children’s bedroom with a bunk bed, a wooden cot and children’s books for bedtime stories. The owners have a baby and toddler, so there are children’s toys for these ages. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Out on the terrace, garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ, make it the ideal spot for dining and relaxing. There are steps down to a large and exciting garden which is laid to lawn with flower beds and an unfenced pond. There is also a 14f’ trampoline for children.

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, with much appreciated toys, etc. for young children. The surrounding area offers lots to do for children and adults.
Mrs Gada
We absolutely loved our stay at Melbury Abbas. As a 4 generation family group- everything was convenient (from the downstairs bedroom and bathroom for Great-Grandma to the cot and changing mat for the baby!). It was immaculate and the views were stunning. The only recommendation I have for others is that the road up to the house is a single track and quite steep. This caused no problems for our party but may be a bit hairy for less confident drivers. Overall, a wonderful stay in a really lovely house. I am sure we will be back again!

Very good property . Very clean and spacious . Had lots of toys / books for little ones . Children loved the trampoline. Communication with the owners very easy and helpful.
