Just two miles south of the vibrant city of Bath, Barley Brake is the perfect Rural Retreat. The stunning open-plan living space invites you to relax, unwind and take in over 20 miles of beautiful uninterrupted views across the valley. Beautifully furnished throughout with local artwork, tasteful splashes of colour and a centrepiece stone spiral staircase leading down to the spacious bedrooms and terrace with idyllic views, it's little wonder Barley Brake featured in the March 2022 edition of the '25 Beautiful Homes' magazine; and is the perfect choice for all seasons, with cosy winter nights spent in front of the wood burning stove; or long summer evenings on the show stopping terrace.
The property is accessed on the ground level into the spacious and light open-plan kitchen, sitting room and dining area where bi-folding doors lead onto the balcony and those amazing views. Down the feature stone and glass spiral staircase to the lower ground floor are three beautifully appointed bedrooms. The master en-suite bedroom and second bedroom have direct access onto a furnished terrace area where you can enjoy your morning coffee and the truly spectacular view over the valley. Guests also have use of the land immediately adjacent to the house, where you can explore the woodland garden, stream and picnic table; or choose to sit and enjoy the view from around the firepit next to the wild pond.

We called Barley Brake the House in the Clouds as the views were stunning. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and peaceful. The hamper provided was exceptional. There was a wonderful pub in the very pretty village and it was close to all the amenities of Bath but rural enough to satisfy walkers as there were many lovely walks from the door. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday home and will certainly return in the future.
