The Water House is a beautifully appointed, three-storey town house, located alongside the historic conservation area of Falmouth, a vibrant town offering a pleasant stay along Cornwall’s coast. Well-positioned, being a short walk from the town centre, The Water House also enjoys views across the Penryn River to Flushing and beyond to the Roseland Peninsula. Off-road parking is available in the front of the property, whilst unrestricted parking is found on the adjacent roads. Stepping inside of the property, be greeted by its character and charm, with many original 1850’s features evident and interior décor that is both magnificent whilst remaining homely. The living room features a woodburning stove, original artwork, river views, a selection of games, a well-stocked bookcase, and plenty of plush seating to sink into in front of the Smart TV or to unwind after the day's adventures. The kitchen boasts high ceilings, an original feature fireplace, a fantastic gas range cooker and is well-equipped to fulfil your self-catering needs. Adjoining the kitchen is a spacious plant-filled dining area where natural light floods in from the large skylight overhead, designed using natural local materials: a Cornish slate floor, original 1850’s timbers, exposed granite and a white-washed wall that traces how it has evolved over time. Leading from the dinging space there are French doors that connect to the garden. You’ll also find an internal door to the ground-floor spacious bedroom which can be set up as a super-king-size bed with zip/link mattress or twin beds; this room also has French doors to the outside, an ensuite shower room and private staircase leading up to a snug area in the eaves, perfect for relaxing, watching a film, working, or hiding! Returning to the main house there is a ground-floor cloakroom off the hallway, along with the original Georgian staircase, leading you up to a light and airy first-floor landing. The first-floor bathroom has everything you need to get ready for the day ahead, including a freestanding bath, a walk-in shower, and a heated towel rail; you’ll also spot a hand-painted mural on the wall to admire whilst you relax in the bubbles. Both first-floor bedrooms can be set up as super-king or twin rooms and enjoy views across the Penryn River towards the pretty village of Flushing and the beautiful estuary beyond. The first-floor also has a small utility room with washing and drying facilities, as well as a handy fridge for extra provisions! Accessed by its original steep, narrow staircase, you’ll arrive at the second-floor king-size bedroom which is serviced by an ensuite shower room and offers spectacular 180-degree views from the lookout window across the Penryn River, the beautiful ‘Carrick Roads’ estuary, the Roseland peninsula, the port of Falmouth, Pendennis Castle and beyond to the sea. Completing The Water House is a rear, enclosed, multi-level garden; on the ground floor there is an outdoor shower to rinse away the sand after a day on the beach day. A flight of granite steps leads up to the first terrace, featuring a soft outdoor seating area in a sunny corner and a gas barbeque. More steps go up to the top terrace which homes an outdoor dining area and access to the adjacent street at the rear. All of Falmouth's attractions are within walking distance, whether you’d like to dine at a harbour-side bar, sunbath on the sandy beaches, or learn about the local history at Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. Penryn and Mabe, both close, are well worth a visit to enjoy the winding lanes of traditional Cornish villages, while to the north you’ll arrive at Truro, a popular place to visit; picnic in Victoria Gardens, view the Gothic cathedral, or tour the Lemon Street Gallery to see a variety of exhibitions. The Roseland Heritage Coast is a must-see for sweeping sea vistas and magnificent coastlines lined with lighthouses, whilst Trelissick Garden, St Just-in-Roseland Church, and Towan Beach are all popular tourist destinations within the breath-taking landscapes. Enjoy a memorable holiday in Cornwall by booking your stay at The Water House.

Tastefully furnished and very well equipped. Five minutes walk into Falmouth. We were able to park both cars outside which is a massive bonus in this area. The house is bright and spacious. Five adults stayed for the week but we all had our own space with lovely bedrooms and bathrooms over three floors. Only minor issues that could be looked at were the key box is clumsy to use and stiff, and there is no security to the rear entrance where anyone could open the gate and wander down to the door to the kitchen. Needs a lock/bolt installed. Overall pretty perfect.

We parked 2 cars on the front without any problem. The views from the front windows are great and the back garden is a real sun trap. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which made our family week together reuniting with our sister from USA after 8 years apart a very special occasion and the house felt very comfortable and welcoming. It is a perfect house for 8 adults with plenty of room in the sitting and dining rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped and we felt privileged to share this beautiful home. It would be a pleasure to return in the future.

Also the building is not very secure with a flimsy lock on the front doo also we had someone come in though the back gate walk through the garden and come to the kitchen door there is no way to lock the back gate. I wouldnât stay here again because of these reasons
