About this property

Two Tides Cottage is a stunning, two-storey cottage situated in Looe, Cornwall. You enter through the front door to a cosy porch area where you can leave your coats on the hooks and kick off your boots. Along the hallway are three bedrooms: one double, one small double and one adult bunk room. Each bedroom has been equipped with modern furnishings to house all your personal items, with both double bedrooms having magnificent views across the harbour and surrounding town, plus their own Juliet balconies. This can be seen right from your bed when you wake up of a morning, a lovely way to start your day. There is a contemporary bathroom, with the choice of a bath and shower over. A staircase leads down to the lower floor where there is an open-plan living space. Relax and unwind in the lounge with its comfortable sofas and warming electric woodburning-effect stove. This room also has beautiful views over the river and unique artwork on the walls, which gives this room a wealth of character. Step into the kitchen, which is well-equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering family holiday and all appliances are completely modern. Also accessed from the lower ground floor is the sandstone patio area with a table and chairs for six which overlooks the river, where you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine - the perfect spot for a barbecue after a day on the beach. There is also a convenient downstairs WC. Looe is a popular tourist and coastal town, with so many attractions, it'll be hard to fit them all into your stay. One of the biggest being East Looe Beach, with its famous Banjo Pier and soft sand, perfect for day trips with the family. Stretch out on your beach towels and soak up the sun for a lovely tan, bring a picnic to spend the day with lovely views across the water. You can also enjoy lots of swimming in Looe Bay. For the history enthusiasts, why not visit Old Guildhall Museum and Gaol? With its artefacts dating back hundreds of years, and many historical objects to be found. Looe also has a wealth of cafes and bakeries where you can enjoy fish and chips, a cornish pasty or a cream tea. There are a number of characterful pubs (some with live music) and restaurants to suit all budgets. Keen cooks can buy freshly-caught fish on the quay, unless of course you’ve managed to catch it yourself. Two Tides Cottage is a wonderful base for exploring the coastal town of Looe.

The views from the ground floor and upstairs were stunning. It was a bit of a walk up steps to reach the property but we got more used to it as the days went on, and I felt fit by the end of the week. Looe is stunning too. Loved the ambience and buzz and the beach really good.

From the minute you walk through the front door to the amazing views at the back. Couldn't ask for better. Full set of utensils in the kitchen, should you wish to cook, so many restaurants to choose from if you don't. The daily challenge of the hill and steps was interesting, even if you told us we'd had too many pasties!! Had a great stay and would definitely return.

Best we have stayed in. Stunning location. Everything in the cottage you would need. Clean and comfortable. Access to the town is down some steep steps but the listing makes that very clear. We would recommend the cottage. The owners were very polite and helpful. A very positive experience and a fantastic holiday location.
