Guests say

Hill Cottage in Cornwall receives high praise for its homely atmosphere, beautiful garden, and well-furnished interiors. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of fizz. Some minor issues were noted regarding maintenance and misinformation about available amenities.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean and well-maintained, with only one mention of a cleanliness-related issue.

The location is generally appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to local amenities in Rock. However, one guest was disappointed with the distance to Rock, expecting it to be within walking distance.

The cottage is frequently described as homely and cosy, with comfortable beds and a relaxing garden. One review mentioned that one of the double rooms was cramped, suggesting it may be less comfortable for larger groups.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a few guests noting issues such as a non-operational tumble dryer and fridges, and a lack of clarity on how to operate the oven. The presence of a travel cot and stairgate was positively noted, despite initial misinformation.

While guests mention thoughtful gestures like a welcome bottle of fizz, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gifts across all stays. Therefore, while these touches are appreciated, they cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

The property is well-equipped and has a lovely garden which is rare in this area. All we needed was easily accessible in Rock, even fresh eggs from the local farms!

We loved the approach and the garden. Some Wow rooms like the main sitting room and main bedroom. One of the doubles wallpaper not finished off well. A few small issues like both fridges not working properly, tumble dryer not working well. Parking was a little issue as we had to reverse onto a busy road. Overall we really liked the property and had a nice stay

The location, views, peacefulness, layout, space and comfort was perfect. We would absolutely stay again, thank you so much. Only small note an earlier check in and a later check out time would have been ideal.
