The cycle path will bring you to Exmouth one way or Topsham and Exeter in the other direction, close to the fabulous Darts Farm for shopping or refreshments. Exmouth is a short car journey south, home to the attractions of Exmouth Danish Fort and Orcombe Point. Take a boat to the River Exe Café from Exmouth, where advance booking is essential. A shorter drive in the opposite direction will bring you to Exeter, where you can roam the grounds of Northernhay Gardens or the narrow pathways of the Underground Passages. East Devon's Lympstone is both a settlement and a civil parish. On the River Exe estuary, amid red breccia rocks and the discharge of Wotton Brook, there is a harbour. Locals are familiar with it for Peter's Tower, a riverbank brick clock tower constructed in the 19th century as a memorial to W.H. Peters' wife. The village is traversed by the popular Exeter to Exmouth cycling path, which draws commuters and business to the village's shops, cafés, and pubs. Nutwell Park, Exmouth & Orcombe Point Walk, and Crealy Adventure Park & Resort are a few of the nearby attractions. Exmouth and Woodbury are both three miles away from Lympstone.
