Near Exmoor National Park, Bampton is a lovely quiet Devon village situated in a wooded valley on the banks of the River Batherm, a tributary of the Exe. Bampton is known for its floral displays, pony fair, and folk festival, in addition to its charming Georgian houses and cottages. This rural area has a lot to offer, including fishing at Wimbleball Reservoir and Clatworthy Reservoir, Exmoor safaris through dramatic windswept moors, walking the Exe Valley Way, horseback riding across the Moorland, and cycling along the Lowman Path. The stunning North Devon coastline, with its clifftop walks, secluded coves, and white sand beaches, is just a short drive away. North Devon and Exmoor National Park are easily accessible from Bampton.

Perfect spot for exploring all of Devon. Owner was also very helpful. We would definately stay again.

.. if you don't know the guests staying next door it can be a little uncomfortable when you are both in the hot tubs at the same time. Also a small enclosed area for the dogs as its a small garden leading onto a main road. We had a lovely stay and would happily come again.
