Park up outside the property and soak in your stunning surroundings, before entering into the hallway to discover the wonder of your home away from home; gather together in the homely sitting room, lighting up the woodburning stove to bring an added sense of warmth to the room and flicking on the television before your evening meal. Sit together in the dining room, a bright and airy room with its large patio doors letting in an abundance of natural light, there's no better spot to watch the sunset over a home-made meal. The well-equipped kitchen hosts every essential, with an electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, it has all you need for the duration of your stay, with plenty of preparation space for the chef to delight at too. Make your way up the open tread stairs to spend a quiet moment to yourself where you can find a gallery room, boasting all of a TV, Blu-ray DVD player and a stereo, it has all you could need for a rainy day! The three sleeping spots rest on the ground floor, offering a flexible sleeping arrangement for the group with those less able in mind, here you can find a master super-king-size with en-suite, a twin, and a single room, each with a sleek and stylish interior and being served by a cloakroom, and a bathroom, providing plenty of space for you to prepare for your day. Soak up your views each morning with a cup of coffee out on the patio, where you will also find a charcoal barbecue for alfresco dining, before heading out on your day of adventure. The local village of Bampton is home to a good range of amenities, including a selection of local shops, butchers, pubs, a café, salon, a nearby garden nursery and more. There's plenty to explore as you while away the hours on a leisurely day; watch the River Batherm go by, before heading to the pub for a refreshing pint. For a challenging ramble, be sure to venture into the Exmoor National Park, home to some of the darkest skies in the country, it makes the perfect place for stargazing, as well as boasting opportunities for walking amongst hilly open moorland, horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing and much more, with the Tarr Steps being a particular spectacle worth exploring. Venture to the nearby towns of Dulverton and Tiverton both hosting even more amenities, Dulverton being a great base to begin your exploration of the national park, while Tiverton offers attractions such as Tiverton Museum Of Mid Devon Life, a scatter of historic landmarks and an enchanting pannier market. Visit the National Trust owned Knightshayes Court, home to a great post-war garden, 19th century parkland and impressive Gothic Revival architecture, or simply enjoy a scenic stroll around the woodlands surrounding the property. There is a good range of shops and eateries within the village, as well as being famed for its floral displays, pony fair and folk festival! Dulverton and Tiverton are in easy reach where you can find even more amenities and opportunities for fishing at Wimbleball and Clathworth too.

    I had a minor problem with some of the lights which I was able to remedy easily. Woodwaye is set in a nice elevated position above the village and enjoys a good amount of privacy.
