The cottage worked well as a family and had all we required for our stay. The owners were helpful and attentive. A place we would recommend.

A beautiful, quiet location and a lovely cottage with a very impressive swimming pool and hot tub looking over the orchard. The pool is a good size and has full changing facilities available. We had plenty of exclusive slots and one or two shared time slots which we made good use of. John (the new owner) was always on hand if required and provided lots of information about the local area. Just be wary of the narrow lanes (hence the Good location rating) but if you use the one suggested by John or the road from Ipplepen (which we didn't find until later in the week) you will be absolutely fine. If you go ask John about it's famous previous resident!

This property is in a beautiful rural setting, and has lovely grounds, consisting of garden and orchard. It is only fair to point out that some views are slightly marred by pylons and the orchard is mainly set on a fairly steep slope. It should be noted that the cottages are accessed (from Broadhempston village) via essentially a narrow single track road (narrower than other local lanes) over the last half mile or so, which has few passing places. Having said that, we were lucky and only encountered another car once and had to reverse. Owner Dave was very amenable and friendly. We were a bit unlucky with the weather and so we made good use of the on site swimming pool which is of a good size and condition. Overall we did enjoy our stay in this property.
