This first floor holiday apartment has views across the estuary, and is an ideal base from which to explore or for watching the boats come and go. Coastal location, situated in the fishing village of Appledore and near to the National Coastal Path, leading to the Northam Burrows and the Blue Flag beach at Westward Ho!, popular with surfers and kiteboarders. Appledore has a selection of shops, galleries and inns serving food and live music. Bideford, 3 miles, offers town amenities and boat trips to Lundy Island. Attractions include Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho! and the Tarka cycle and footpath trail. Shop 600 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

There will be scaffolding on other blocks which are visible on the left, this is on going building work till the end of October. this work is for refurbishment of walkways and render to property blocks. Contractors on site from 8am till 6pm.

Excellent views across the estuary, and a well-appointed, very comfortable apartment that is kept beautifully clean, clearly a place in which the owners take justified pride and use themselves.The description in our brochure is very fair and accurate. It is on the first floor of a block of flats that are not pretty, and it can be a trudge with luggage from where you can park the car up to the flat itself, but the neighbours are nice and friendly.

We stayed 20th-27th August 2021. From the outside we were worried when we arrived but that soon disappeared once inside. Lovely comfortable and cosy flat. Beautiful view over the estuary. Very peaceful and quiet and you can enjoy beautiful sunsets at night. It was a great base for exploring. We visited Clovelly, Ilfracombe, Westward Ho, Woolacombe, Lynton and Lynmouth. Appledore was quite quiet but had a couple of pubs, nice fish and chips and a few little shops. The flat was lovely and clean and well equipped and furnished nicely. Very handy having the parking onsite. A very enjoyable stay. Would recommend.
