With lots of original features, this traditional Devon Long House has bags of charm and character combined with contemporary fixtures and fittings. Step into the light and airy open-plan living space where you can spend evenings cooking delicious meals to share at the dining table, it’s also a great space for playing board games, then snuggle up in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings, open up the French doors to the garden on warm ones. The pretty king-size bedroom and the large family shower room are also on the ground floor, the other two bedrooms are upstairs, a cosy double, and a lovely twin, as well as a lounge where you can watch movies and enjoy the incredible views of the Taw Valley. Spend warm days enjoying drinks and meals al fresco in the big garden, fire up the BBQ in the evenings then simply sit and relax under the stars.
Get out and explore the area on foot or by bike on the Tarka Trail, which goes to Barnstaple (10 miles), home to a great range of shops and eateries. Spend the day exploring RHS Rosemoor (10 miles) set in 100 acres of woodland, visit Dartington Crystal (9 miles) to see traditional glass blowing. Go swimming or surfing on the beach at Westward Ho! (15 miles), Saunton Sands (16 miles) and Croyde (20 miles) and treat yourselves to a spa day at Northcote Manor 4 miles away.
