Rona Cottage in Lyme Regis is praised for its cosy charm, excellent location, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the proximity to the beach. The cottage's character and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, contribute to a delightful stay, despite some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance.
Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with some guests finding the property not very clean, mentioning issues like bird droppings on windows, a musty smell, and a dirty stair carpet. However, others found it clean and well-kept.
The location is highly praised for being close to the beach and town, with the added convenience of a parking space. It's considered among the best in Lyme Regis for accessibility to local attractions.
Most guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a good shower. Beds are described as comfortable, and the living spaces are appreciated for their size and cosiness.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and the presence of Sky TV and streaming services. However, some maintenance issues like a problematic fridge and the need for a knife sharpener slightly mar the experience.
Guests mention thoughtful touches like a welcome pack, which included tea bags, and toys for children. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such amenities are a bonus and not guaranteed with every stay.

We are very grateful to you for providing us with a property at very short notice after a cancellation by AirBnB, and then being so helpful in upgrading it when we realised that Rona Cottage was available. And thanks for the bag of goodies left for us which were much appreciated. Just a few minor things to mention. There was a problem with the central heating which fortunately was resolved by one of our guests who recognised it as a problem of low pressure in the system. Worth checking that out for future visitors. It would be good to have some scissors in the kitchen. The stair gates seemed to be broken.

New front door is a welcome replacement (though anyone nipping past its expanse of clear glass in a state of déshabillé might be a little inconvenienced were there someone passing by at the time), and potential guests should take seriously the note about the precipitous nature of the staircases if they have serious mobility problems (but note that the most senior member of our party is pushing 80 and managed perfectly well). Another splendid holiday in this delightfully quirky cottage which we've already booked again for autumn '25.

The parking space a real bonus all be it for only one car. However public car park not too far away where a car can be left over night for fee. Are only problem was not entirely sure which outside space was allocated to Rona cottage and a problem with the refuse bin firstly hunting for it then although we had put the bin out on Thursday evening it appeared back near the cottage still full so we had to leave our rubbish on top.
