Guests say

Louisa Cottage in Weymouth is a well-regarded holiday rental with a prime location near the harbour, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the property's comfort and the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome hamper. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Most guests found Louisa Cottage to be clean and well-presented, with compliments to the cleaning team. However, a few guests reported issues with cobwebs, dust, and cleanliness in certain areas, suggesting room for improvement.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its convenience, being close to the harbour, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. It is also within walking distance to the beach and local attractions, making it an ideal spot for guests.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with new sofas and good single beds mentioned. However, some guests suggest that the double bed mattress could be more comfortable, and there are comments about the need for better seating in the courtyard.

The cottage is equipped with good facilities, but some guests have noted maintenance issues such as broken blinds, exposed wires, and plumbing problems. Suggestions for additional facilities like a dishwasher and secondary glazing have been made.

While some guests were delighted by a welcome hamper, as gifts like these are not consistently mentioned across the reviews, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for thoughtfulness based on the available information.

This thriving area called Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated right at the very heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. Brewers Quay is a much loved location in Weymouth.

location was great. The double bed was uncomfortable and could do with curtains in the main bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped, overall a great stay.

The kitchen and facilities were amazing. The location of the cottage suited us very well. We enjoyed our stay at Louisa Cottage. There were some things which we felt would benefit from attention: the front door and step, the gap in the French doors, the “garden”, the blinds in the twin room (they had to be opened and closed manually because the cord no longer works), the master bedroom would benefit from better window covering as there was too much light from outside at night. A more detailed map of the immediate area would have been helpful, even a visitors’ book might have helped with notes on where others had visited and walked. We didn’t have transport so relied on buses, trains and walking. The lack of a tourist information centre in the area is regrettable.
