The Gardens in Somerset is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful setting, and attentive hosts. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-equipped accommodation and the beautiful garden. The property's location is ideal for exploring Somerset and Devon, with many enjoying the local walks and the tranquillity of the village. Comfort levels are high, with cosy furnishings and a warm welcome, although some guests suggest minor improvements.
The property is consistently described as immaculate, clean, and well-maintained, with only a single mention of an issue with mould which appears to be an isolated incident. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the guests' experiences.
The cottage's location in a quiet village is highly regarded for its peace and access to local attractions. It is well-placed for exploring the surrounding countryside, although some guests found the access roads narrow and bendy.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the property warm, with a log burner adding to the cosiness. However, some guests mention the house can be on the cooler side and suggest bringing warm clothing, which slightly affects the comfort score.
The property is praised for being well-equipped and offering amenities like a jacuzzi bath and log burner. Some guests suggest adding shelves in bathrooms and mirrors near power points. The mention of inefficient electric heaters and difficulty with the log burner indicates room for improvement in maintenance.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through their warm welcomes and attentive nature. Guests mention appreciative touches like fresh eggs and the offer of a tumble dryer. While these gestures are well-received, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.
