About this property

The Nest, a charming, Victorian terraced property is perched in the idyllic village of Brixham, Devon. With period features, stunning sea views and close proximity to local amenities and a beach, The Nest is a wonderful base to explore the beauty of the Devon coast. Step inside your new home-from-home and be welcomed by a delightful blend of period features and contemporary touches. Enjoy a quick aperitif in the enclosed front patio with its inviting bench, before heading into the kitchen/diner for a delicious home-cooked meal; serve it up in the dining room, perfect for a special occasion with family or friends. Once the meal is finished, retire to the sitting room for an evening of relaxation, curling up on the sofa and flicking through the channels on the TV, or just take in the views and bask in the tranquillity of this special spot. In the summer months, be sure to take advantage of the enclosed rear courtyard with furniture, perfect for an evening of stargazing or indulging in an alfresco feast. When it’s time for bed, climb the stairs to the two delightfully-presented bedrooms; a king-size with TV and a double, each serviced by a spotless bathroom, ideal for a long soak or revitalising shower after an adventurous day. In the morning, take a short stroll to Bonsey Rose Gardens or Fishcombe Cove, where you can soak in the breathtaking coastal views and sea air. Further afield, discover Dartmouth, an exquisite shoreline town with its picturesque harbour and the beautiful South West Coastal Path with beautiful views of the River Dart. Discover a range of independent shops, eateries and pubs, with a delicatessen, award-winning butchers, Artisan bakery and gallery coffee shop, so all your needs are catered for. Follow the 1.25-mile Lauder Trail, crossing through the historical attractions and amenities, to sample the best of what this town has to offer or head to the vibrant seaside towns of Paignton and Torquay, which are easy to reach from The Nest. Uncover a range of species at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, visit Paignton Pier for fish and chips overlooking the shoreline, or perhaps discover Clennon Gorge for a nature-filled hike. Whereas Torquay is a bustling harbour town with plenty of restaurants and pubs, along with a variety of activities to enjoy, from boat trips, cruises and ferries to the many beaches to relax and unwind on. Create unforgettable memories at The Nest.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.

. Suggest making this more accessible. Recycling…. Boxes need to be clearly marked . Other than that , House was a good base for sightseeing, despite the hills . Had everything we needed inside .

need a car due to the hills etc but unfortunately the parking at the property is not great. Surprise by the cobwebs but it did not spoil our stay. The only reason I probably would not return is the way the stairs are at the top, a little dangerous for us.
