After parking in the sought-after sheltered parking spaces for two cars, ascend the stone steps to a deceptively large, lower-ground-floor living/dining room. The living/dining room is adorned with neutral tones and showcases two spacious 3-seater sofas for you and your loved ones to unwind in front of the TV. Make your way upstairs to find the large stunning kitchen/diner with an island kitchen overlooking the valley. It is an impressive space and is home to a wealth of appliances, including a large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and steamer. After rustling up a tasty dinner, enjoy it with your family at the close-by glass dining table, or make your way back downstairs to enjoy a feast with extra company at the stylish dining table for eight. After dinner, venture further upstairs to find a family bathroom where you can soak in a fabulous bath with a hand-held shower. The first floor is home to two lovely bedrooms, one being a spacious king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and the other being a twin room that is perfect for the kids to rest their heads in. Those looking for a little privacy will be delighted to find a large king-size bedroom on the second floor with skylight windows that flood the space with natural light and a good size en suite shower room. Take advantage of the soft seating area that includes two comfortable chairs with a small coffee table to enjoy a drink whilst unwinding in the evening. After savouring a well-earned rest, enjoy a morning coffee on the elevated decking as you take in those brilliant views of Malmesbury, and in the evenings some alfresco dining with the charcoal barbecue? 8 The Light’s location is truly marvellous, being within a few minutes walk to the high street where there are a mixed array of shops pubs and restaurants.. Shops include, ladies and mens fashions, Newsagents, Butchers, Co Op and chemists, as well as several takeaways including Chinese, Indian and traditional Fish & Chips. Pubs include The Smoking Dog, The Rose & Crown, The Whole Hog and The Old Bell (the oldest hotel in England). A fantastic location for walkers, directly behind the property Dark Lane leads to Daniels Well which offers a number of attractive walks alongside the river to the Salt Mills and beyond. You can also venture through the close-by Conygre Mead with a furry friend, hike along the winding Tetbury and River of Avon, before visiting the elegant Abbey House with its manicured gardens that are ideal for picnicking in. Travel south to discover the market town of Chippenham, a great outing for the family, with its intriguing Chippenham Museum and beautiful John Coles Park, venture a little out of town to Castle Combe where you can discover the exhilarating Castle Combe Circuit which is guaranteed to be a hit with the family! The town of Cirencester not only boasts fabulous cycling and walking trails around its green spaces, but is home to interesting historic landmarks, including the Cirencester Amphitheatre and the Corinium Museum – perfect for those history fans. Take your holiday further and enjoy city outings in Bath and Bristol where a wealth of activities await, spend the day in Swindon and Stroud; or make the most of the wider region and explore the outdoors delights at-hand in the Cotswolds AONB.

    The decoration was very tasteful and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Also the host is dog friendly which was great. The location was also great being 5 min walk to the edge of town and lovely pubs and cafes. The town has a lot of history and the people were very friendly.

    You can't fault this property, it was excellent for 6 people to stay in complete comfort. The kitchen is highly equipped and enabled easy self-catering. We loved our stay and hope to go back and explore the area further.
