There is also a double bedroom, with delicate white curtains around the bed and period roofbeams creating an insight into the history of the building, as well as a twin with hues of pale green, both with an en-suite. Sitting outside is a must, with a lovely front garden for guests to enjoy a book in the sunshine with a view across the intriguing structure of the other houses and you will be delighted to find that there is both a communal gym and a communal swimming pool for guests to enjoy. The local area captivates you with beautiful rolling hills and distant coastlines, and you can enjoy a walk in the wildlife at Suffolk Coast Nature reserve as well as wonderful beaches at Southwold, and Dunwich, a great spot for a picnic or to enjoy your favourite watersports. A little further from the property, a selection of restaurants, pubs and small shops can be found, a great place to try out local produce, or you can head over to Halesworth Golf course to spend a relaxing afternoon trying your skills at golf. Explore the wonders of Suffolk with a stay at the wonderful Hillcrest.

The kitchen was really well appointed apart from lack of food cupboard space, just a small empty cupboard for bread, cereals and snacks would be useful. We also found the windows on the ground floor impossible to open, it was really warm on our first day and had to open the front door to get some air through. We had forgotten our board games so was pleased to read that games were in the sideboard, but again couldnât open the cupboard. As mentioned by previous visitors, the bathroom of the double bedroom would really benefit from having a proper shower, but these are really only minor points and wouldnât stop us from booking again. We all felt at home very quickly. We used the games room a couple of times, excellent facilities, didnât use the pool as it was booked the times we would have used but again it looked excellent, didnât realise we needed the key with the fob attached (probably our fault but didnât read this in the information guide). We did have a lovely week and thank you for a great stay at Hillcrest.

Hillcrest was comfortable and well equipped. There was a communal run around area was outside the gate. The pool was also well used. Booking system a little tricky. Parking close by and friendly neighbours and they helped us with the numbering system on the houses - a little tricky to navigate. Easy access by road to the local area which was very interesting.

The only flaw was the bathroom on the second floor was blocked but apart from that, it was idyllic.
