I spent five nights at Akenfield Cottage with my dog. It was such a wonderful, comfortable and relaxing stay. The cottage is fresh and spotlessly clean and has everything that you could ask for. The garden is so well cared for. The location is ideal. We had day trips to Dunwich, Snape, Orford and Thorpeness, all within a 20-30 minute drive, and could have spent many more days exploring the area.

Akenfield Cottage is spacious, light and airy and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed and we enjoyed the open plan living. Location was superb and the gardens an absolute delight. Star gazing was wonderful as the night sky is so dark and an abundance of wildlife which we loved. Deer, rabbits, owls, woodpeckers. The cottage has many lovely places to visit within a short drive and for shopping there’s the lovely Friday Street farm shop, Snape Maltings and a Waitrose in Saxmundon. I’d love to stay here again.

The barn is set in beautiful and well kept gardens. So so peaceful and quiet .The cottage is close to Framlingham , great for visiting the castle and local shops. We did light the wood burner in October, but it was so efficient we soon let it go out! This part of Suffolk is blessed with pretty villages and beautiful countryside. If you need to relax and unwind this cottage is for you.
