About this property

Step back in time at this delightful period property in Kessingland, a seaside village with a lovely sand-shingle beach just 300 metres from your front door. Previously a fisherman’s cottage, the accommodation is brimming with Victorian charm, and has been beautifully renovated with a stylish decor that respects its history. It’s got space for four guests over its two bedrooms, making it ideal for couples or families seeking a coastal holiday in pretty Suffolk.

You’ll enter into the cosy living room, a gorgeous space with solid oak flooring and a lovely old fireplace housing a wood burner. Relax with a glass of wine and a film in the evenings, or head to the separate snug for a quiet moment to yourself. The characterful kitchen is ready for every culinary plan, and the adjoining sunlit conservatory presents the ideal spot for tucking into homecooked fare. From here, patio doors lead to a spacious enclosed rear garden with a decked area and seating. A charcoal BBQ sets you up for al fresco sizzle fests.

There’s a children’s play park opposite the cottage which is handy if you’ve got little ones in your party. You’ll find pubs and shops within 300 metres as well as a fish and chip shop for a savoury treat. Children will love a trip to Africa Alive Zoological Reserve 1.5 miles away, or you can head to Lowestoft (5 miles) with its charming shops, restaurants, theatre and beaches. Comfortable, well equipped cottage. Ideal location for the beach and visiting local area. Welcome pack was a nice touch and our dog was made very welcome as well.

We absolutely loved this beautifully stylish and comfortable cottage. This is definitely a 10 out of 10 for us. It's a place to really unwind, rest and relax and very welcoming to us and our dogs. Proximity to beach and amenities were great and there really is little need to get in the car unless you want a big shop or visit other places. We will definitely return.
