Harriet's Cottage in Southwold is a well-regarded holiday rental, praised for its comfortable furnishings, charming patio, and excellent location close to the beach and town. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, quality mattresses, and thoughtful welcome pack. Some issues with cleanliness and maintenance were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and would recommend the property.
While most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, there were concerns raised about cleanliness and a rodent issue by one guest. However, this does not seem to be a widespread problem as it was not mentioned by other reviewers.
The location is consistently praised for being close to the seafront and town, making it an ideal spot for guests. The ease of access to local amenities and the sound of waves lapping nearby contribute to a positive experience.
Guests have found the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, particularly noting the quality of the mattress and bedding. The size may be more suitable for smaller groups, as the bunk beds are noted to be better for younger children.
The cottage is well-equipped, but there have been some issues with the dishwasher and shower drainage. These concerns have been reported and are expected to be addressed. The presence of takeaway menus and a power shower were positively noted.
