Guests say

Guests have praised 30 Victoria Street for its superb location, comfort, and well-equipped nature, making it an ideal base for exploring Southwold. The property is noted for its homeliness and the added charm of a courtyard garden. While there are some concerns about maintenance and the suitability of the attic room for children, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is generally described as clean and well-kept, with one report of limescale and slow-draining sinks. However, the majority of guests did not raise cleanliness as an issue, indicating satisfaction with the property's tidiness.

The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to the beach, shops, and local amenities. It is a highlight for many guests, contributing significantly to their positive experience.

The property is frequently described as comfortable and cosy, with special mention of the comfortable beds. The attic room's suitability for children is questioned by one guest, but overall, the property is seen as a comfortable place to stay.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, there are some concerns about maintenance issues such as blocked drains and limescale, which suggests room for improvement.

While guests have mentioned feeling 'at home' and one mentioned a gift bag, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches such as gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that any gifts received are a bonus and not guaranteed.

A lovely homely cottage with everything you need for a seaside holiday. The location is excellent and being behind the high street it is quieter than properties we have stayed in previously. The courtyard garden is well cared for and a real bonus.

Having stayed many times in Southwold both in cottages and at the swan and The Crown inns, this property was up there with the best of them. Spotlessly clean and well appointed , the cottage was very well situated a stones throw away from shops, pubs and the beach and comfortably slept 6 (4 adults and two children who loved their special attic room on the top floor revealed through a hidden door and ‘secret’ staircase). We enjoyed dining al fresco on the sunny terrace and found back gate access useful. All in all a very enjoyable and successful multi generational stay. Parking was easier than expected - we left the car all week in Chester Road opposite the Sole Bay Inn after unloading outside the cottage on arrival.

30 Victoria Street is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage, we felt immediately 'at home'! The location is so convenient, everything Southwold has to offer is a short walk, so you really feel at the centre of this lovely seaside town. Having found a nearby place to park on East Green, we didn't use the car at all during our whole stay!
