About this property

Nestled just a mile off the M62, in the desirable village of South Cave, is this heart-warming cottage, Rose Dene. Presented to a contemporary standard with off-road parking and an enclosed garden, Rose Dene is a heart-warming escape for families and their furry friends. The kitchen/diner is sure to be the social hub of the home, equipped with all the home-cooking essentials in the kitchen, so you can easily conjure up a meal after a long day. After a sumptuous dinner, collapse on the sofa and tune into the Smart TV in the homely sitting room, catching up on your favourite shows. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, so you won’t need to pack your whole wardrobe. Wash away the day in the bathroom, choosing between a freestanding bath or walk-in shower, before heading to the bedrooms to catch your rest. There is a king-size, double and a twin on offer, each neutrally presented and featuring ample storage space. Spend a moment or two in the enclosed garden with decking, enjoying a drink on the furniture whilst the little ones roam the lawn space. A leisurely stroll will bring you to a local pub and shop, ideal for picking up the essentials, while in Ellerker there is an excellent restaurant where you can treat the group to a meal out. Learn about local history with a visit to the Cave Castle Hotel and Country Club, which boasts an excellent base for golfing and spa treatments. Pop on your walking boots and tackle the Yorkshire Wolds Way, passing through dry valleys, lush rolling hills and tranquil countryside along the way. Choose Rose Dene in The Yorkshire Wolds for a charming escape to Yorkshire.

In Yorkshire's East Riding is the busy historic village of South Cave. It is around 13 miles west of Hull and provides great access to the east coast and the renowned city of York by road. The village has many stores, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, a Post Office, a bank, and a monthly farmers' market that is hosted in the market square, therefore it has good amenities. A prominent landmark, Cave Castle is a gothic grand house that is now a hotel, and the surrounding grounds make up the neighbourhood golf club. The Yorkshire Wolds Way long distance route, which travels through the east end of the village, is one of the picturesque walks that can be taken from the village centre. Traditional market towns like Beverley and Market Weighton can be found all around, while Hornsea, a town on the coast, is only a one-hour journey away. A fantastic starting point for exploring the surrounding countryside, the cities of Hull and York, and the other attractions is South Cave.

The property is immaculately clean with high end fixtures and fittings. Tasteful decor with a light, airy feel and warm and cosy ambience. The property is well equipped with everything you will need. Plenty of room to park two cars on the driveway and a nice view overlooking open fields. The garden is a really good size and has a lovely patio area with plenty of space for our dog to play. It is the most safe and secure garden we have stayed at. Peace of mind to be able to let our dog outside without worrying is a top priority for us and Rosedene certainly gave us that. There's a great dog park just 1 mile away if owners want a few acres of personal space to exercise and have fun in. Lovely walks and villages to visit nearby. We did some of the Yorkshire Wolds Way and walked along the country lanes of the Trans Penine Trail which is right on the doorstep. Really happy to see the smart TV has Netflix for cosy nights in film watching. Friendly neighbours and helpful owners who are available if you should need them although we didn't, we had no problems whatsoever. We will certainly be staying again in the future.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The welcome pack was great. The dogs were at home in the great garden - and the dog bed was fought over! The standard of appliances were excellent and the kitchen a delight to eat in. The bedrooms were very comfortable and bathroom very high standard. We had a really nice break and would return in future.
