Located in beautiful countryside this cottage is ideal for walkers as there are many good walks around, and also a good base for exploring the Dales and Lake District less than an hour's drive away.In 2017 the changeover day for this property will be Friday

Original Cottages kept us up to date with all information regarding our holiday. The web site and instructions were easy to understand. We have stayed at Shepherd’s Cottage three times before - the cottage itself is delightful and the views from the large kitchen/diner window are spectacular. The cottage is in an ideal position, out in the countryside but close to all amenities in Hawes.

Absolutely splendid location with stunning views of the Yorkshire countryside. Kids were safe to play in the spacious walled area outside and loved the Smart-TV in the evenings. The lane is very quiet with hardly any traffic. Maps and guides for walks were very much appreciated as indeed also the vast amount of flyers on other attractions. We definitely recommend to visit the weekly sheepdog demonstration nearby and the Chippie in Hawes offers great fish and chips. We (2 adults, 3 kids aged 10,13,17) spent two very memorable happy weeks here exploring the countryside and will definitely come back, as the area has so much to offer for active families!
