Return from bracing walks out along the open sands of North Norfolk to unwind in front of a crackling open fire at the Blakeney hideaway. This two-bedroom retreat sleeps four guests and is ideal for small families and couples. Welcoming dogs too, it’s a perfect base for those wishing to bring a canine walking companion. With two enclosed gardens, the single-storey cottage is a wonderful spot for basking in the Norfolk sunshine after days spent swimming in the sea on summer days.
Make your way inside to find accommodation with a homely, friendly ambience. Head into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lovely kitchen has been fitted out with everything you need to help you cater for your party. Dine together at the table inside or head into the conservatory, with its exposed brick and flint wall, as you look out over the garden. Spend your evenings together in the lounge, watching the Smart TV in the glow of the open fire. As day turns to night, amble through to one of the comfortable bedrooms. These include a king-size and a twin. There is also a family shower room. The two gardens here are very much a highlight of the property. Choose to sit out to the front or back as you dine under the huge Norfolk sky and chat as the stars come out. There is private parking at this cottage for two cars.
Walk 2 miles to the National Trust’s Morston Quay to take a boat trip out to see the seals. For a beach day, head 8 miles to Wells-next-the-Sea to paddle, swim and picnic at its magnificent beach. The magnificent estate at Sheringham is a 9-mile drive, while the Norfolk Coast Path is just around a mile away for wonderful scenery.

Lovely cottage in super location ( if you don't mind a bit of isolation ). Well kitted out - nice and warm with comfy bed - we really enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic break, East Calvert House is exactly as described, spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everything you need has been thought of to a high standard, including fire safety , nothing spared. You can just bring yourself, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Loved sitting on the front patio taking in the beautiful views, had lovely walks with our dogs alongside the roaming sheep right from the doorstep. Enjoyed great food at the local friendly pub, the Kings Head, explored nearby Richmond, Castle and museums. The first journey to the cottage was a bit daunting up the track but easy once we had done it once. As our old car was up to the challenge we also enjoyed a meal at the highest pub in the British isles The Tan Hill Inn ,less than 30 minutes drive . Wish we had had more time to explore so much more the area had to offer. I highly recommend using Original Cottages, great communication & instructions.
