Lyncroft is a comfortable and homely cottage, ideal for family stays and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate its well-equipped nature and plush furnishings, though there have been some concerns regarding heating issues and the accuracy of property descriptions.
There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.
The cottage is praised for its ideal location to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, with great walks nearby. However, the proximity to a noisy water treatment plant has been noted.
Overall, guests find the cottage comfortable and perfect for a family holiday, with large rooms and plenty of space. Some discomfort was experienced due to initial heating issues.
The cottage is well-equipped and guests are generally satisfied with the furnishings and fittings. However, there were issues with heating and a lack of logs for the fire, which were later resolved.
The welcome pack provided was geared more towards cleaning than guest comfort, which some found amusing. While tea, coffee, and biscuits were appreciated, the absence of promised logs was noted. It should be politely stated that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Mr Parker
Really enjoyed your beautiful cottage. Loved having large rooms and plenty of space.
Mr Douglas
We were quite amused and bemused by the 'Welcome Pack'. This consisted of a small cardboard box holding a J-cloth, plastic rubbish bag, small scourer, miniature container of washing up liquid, 3 dishwasher tablets and 3 plastic sachets of laundry soap {of which there were plenty already under the sink}. In all our previous holiday cottages the welcome packs were geared to the guests rather than cleaning up! There was a basket with tea, coffee and sugar sachets, and some small biscuits, plus 5 miniature bottles of milk in the fridge which was fine. In spite of the folder saying there would be, there was no initial supply of logs for the woodburner. Fortunately the extra boost function on the central heating made the cooler evenings more comfortable. On the website mention was made of the back garden backing on to surrounding fields - you could just about see one part of one field. Secondly, mention was also made of the chairs and table at the front of the property which would make a lovely place to sit - only if you were prepared to put up with the extremely noisy water treatment plant next to you which operated 24 hours a day. We're afraid that these two descriptions are reminiscent of estate agent speak when describing the property.
