Guests say

The Great Eskcape in Whitby is highly praised for its stunning river views, convenient location, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the modern amenities, private parking, and the property's proximity to town. While some guests mention minor maintenance issues and a firm mattress, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the apartment to be very clean, with only a single mention of a dirty cooker and greasy cooker hood frame. The positive remarks on cleanliness far outweigh the isolated complaint.

The location is consistently lauded for its fantastic views, proximity to Whitby, and the added benefit of private parking. The scenic surroundings and easy access to local attractions contribute to the high rating.

Comfort is generally well-received, with the apartment described as cosy and warm. However, there are a few mentions of a hard mattress, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are modern and well-equipped according to guests, but there are several mentions of issues such as a leaking kettle, problems with TV signal, and difficulty with key collection. Maintenance concerns slightly detract from the overall positive feedback.

There are no specific references to gifts or special personal touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

The apartment was in a lovely location - we have stayed at Whitehall Landing before and the town is very accessible on foot along the riverside but far enough away to be peaceful. The apartment had great views of the town and river with all its wildlife - we saw a seal and a kingfisher as well as the wading birds. The property itself was very clean, well equipped and comfortable with its own parking space very close to the entrance - a major plus in Whitby. There is a little fish and chip shop two minutes walk and a pub 5 mins walk - you don't have to go into town for either. Both are good although a tip for The Middle Earth Tavern - its oddly table service including outside seating - although a super little pub regardless. We have stayed in Whitby four times and this is the best accommodation we've had.

This is a lovely apartment. It was spotless on arrival. It is light and airy and the decor I would describe as modern. It had everything you needed and the allocated parking is definitely a bonus. The views from the windows and Juliette balcony are superb….I think I spent a lot of time admiring the view and watching the trains. The trains are just across the estuary but believe me they are no trouble at all I enjoyed watching them and it added to the charm of this apartment. Being on the estuary we saw herons, egrets, swans and plenty of ducks. It is only a short walk into Whitby to enjoy a good selection of shops, cafes and bars. We took a walk on the west cliffs and went to a Dracula play at the Abbey which was well worth a visit. We also took a train ride to Goathland. We have been to Whitby a lot over the years and this is definitely in our top 3. Thankyou for a lovely relaxing week.

A well equipped apartment which we have stayed at many times. Estuary views a bonus and ever changing and a guaranteed parking space. We highly recommend The Great Eskcape.
